Blackheads!!

I'm pretty proud of myself because I have gotten my picking situation under control EXCEPT for blackheads!! Someone posted this same problem before, but I can't seem to find it. It doesn't seem to matter that I'm exfoliating, taking prescription meds for the problem, and steaming my pores open in hopes I can get them out that way. They are still there and it seems the only way to get rid of them is to squeeze them out, which leads to ugly pores and scarring. They are all over my T area, especially my chin. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to have noticeable scarring now. :( Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. The only thing I do is use a pore opening masque and steam my face, no new suggestions sorry. Oh also after that i use a blackhead extractor it helps avoid scarring.

What has helped me : 1. Wash your face with only Dove soap. (The original white bottle.) 2. After washing face, lightly hold a warm* wash cloth over your face for about 10-20 seconds. 3. Then, saturate a cotton ball with Witch Hazel. (Witch Hazel is very inexpensive. It is refreshing. Very effective and does not sting! You can be liberal with the Witch Hazel.) 4. Rub a small* amount of Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil over face. (This oil is very light, absorbant, non-greasy, and tones/heals skin very well. It is made with Cocoa Butter. It costs roughly $10, and is found in most convenient stores. This oil does not stain clothes.) 5. Lastly, MOVE ON to something else - let your skin be. Distract yourself, and go about your day. Do this routine in the morning and evening, especially before bed. This has really helped me. (Dove, Witch Hazel, Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil. -- it's all about being GENTLE.) I hope this helps you! :)
