insides of lips and cheecks picking

my beautiful daughter picks her insides of lips & cheecks..i'm glad there is this forum to ask questions and share thoughts and advice.i've finally made an appointment for her w/a mental health doctor.i had been avoiding making it,hoping and praying it was a faze or it would go away on it;s own. well,i was so wrong .it's seemed to be getting worse.what do i do really? i think it's a self esteem issue-like the articles explains here. i truly also believe she has ocd,because she can;t stop.my poor 15 yr.old it hurts me to think shes suffering the pain that it must cause..any reply would be helpful
