I'm not alone?!
I am a 33 year old that has been picking most of my life. I have tried to hide it, been told to "just stop it", and suffered through the horrifying looks others have given me when catching a glimpse of my "work". I can not express how relieved I feel that I am not the only person in the world that has this problem! I want to stop, I've tried to stop. Lately I've just given up trying. But I happened onto this site and now I feel more capable of dealing with my picking, just knowing there are others out there like me...

I am also around your age, one year older. I don't know why I do this, and everytime I end up with a horrible scab/open wound/scar I am mortified...I won't leave the house, cancel plans, hide from my husband with lame excuses of headaches. I try to stay alone and away from people during daylight and keep the lights off at night. It's really quite ridiculous. I stumbled on this site and and happy to know I am not alone in this battle.
