A little bit of my personal advise :)
I've been reading a book, and it talks about goal setting and how you must write your goals down, get them out on paper and have them in front of you, But rather then writing them as "Future Goals" your should write them as tho they are already happening, so rather then writing "I will not pick" "I will have nice skin", you should write it as "I no longer pick at my skin" "My skin is healthy and beautiful". If you write it as tho it is at present time, then your subconscious mind makes it happen as tho it is present time, if you talk about it like it is in the future, your subconscious mind is always thinking in future terms.. also setting a date, pick a date in 1 months time, for example, say the 12th of October.. on this day, your skin will be completely healed.. working up to this date, you do what ever it takes to prevent your self from picking, if it means wearing band aids on your finger tips, telling your self the most positive things you can think of, not looking in a mirror for how ever long you need to, ANYTHING that stops you from doing it, knowing that you really want this, but knowing that a slip up here and there is ok too.. as your still only human, and even people with the nicest skin you have ever see pick the occasional spot.. Maybe you want to give it 2 months, depending on what situation your spots are in. You have to read them no less then twice a day, morning and night, More if you can, bring them with you to work, or school. Type them up and print them and stick them to your bathroom mirror, on your front door, on the dash of your car, where ever your going to read them. When you read them, you need to really believe they are happening, and that these goals are being achieved with ever breath of air you take into your lungs, ALWAYS think the positives. Tell your self you are no longer a person who picks their skin. Its a technique that has been working since the 1800's, the book is for a nutrition plan, but the basic principles can be use for anything. I keep my goals on laminated cards in my purse, with pictures of how I want to look, and little notes that get buried in my subconscious mind, Ive given myself 49 days to get fit :) This is honestly the best advise I have EVER received. :) I hope this helps to improve your situation and get you to were you need to be. Within 10 days your should see improvements within 20 others will see them. Its not something that will happen over night, but it will most certainly benefit you in the long run.
