Day 13 no pick
Hey all - just wanted to remind you that battling this disease is a process. You can't change your lifestyle in one day, a week, or even a month. It takes constant work, but also continous rewards. Don't ever forget to reward yourself for accomplishing a goal you make for yourself. I suggest spoiling yourself with a gift after not picking. Don't stop once you have gone awhile not picking, either. Continue to remind yourself how important this is to you. I'm almost to a two week mark. It's possible, I want you all to know that. I always go back and read my old posts to remind myself how I felt when I was picking for hours each day. The pain is still very real and there, even after my face has cleared up significantly. That's why I can't stress enough that stopping to pick is a long battle. It may be simple to say "this girl hasn't picked for 13 days. That's awesome, but I'll never get there." Day 13 is not any easier than day one. I still struggle everyday. However, I also do smile every day. And I'm going to continue to work towards this trade off each new day. Good luck to you all!
