Nose picking

I have been picking my nose for as long as I can remember. I have created a hole in my septum and sill continue to pick. I want to stop but find it impossible. My husband knows I have a problem but not that the hole is getting bigger over the years. I'm afraid I will permanently disfigure my nose but am too embarrassed to seek help. I sought help once about ten years ago but the doctor accused me of cocaine abuse and I never went back. Has anyone else found helpful treatment for this embarrassing habit?
