Enjoy picking

Does anyone enjoy picking? I mean REALLY enjoy. I actually enjoy seeing the puss come out and hearing the noise it makes. Not sure if there IS actually a noise or if I just imagine it. I can't stand it anymore though. Right now it's 85 degrees and humid and I'm sitting here in a long sleeve shirt. The terrible condition of my arms determines what I can and cannot do each day. My kids get ripped off from the park or the beach or anywhere else if I have to wear a shortsleeve shirt because I just can't wear one. Anyone have any success stories?

Shemac, Yes I do enjoy picking and I experience the same feelings you are...the sound, and the visual. I do not understand why I find enjoyment out of it. I also feel a sense of relief after I pick and I see something come out. Ive done this since I was young, and I do not know why. I am still trying to understand. My picking is a hindrance. I sometimes cannot go out, and I have two children. It isnt okay for me to be like this anymore. Sometimes i go to bed because I dont want my husband seeing my face. Have you tried to stop picking?

For years, I thought it was just me. I have tried stop picking before and it's a chore. I constantly had to remind myself not to pick. I have cut my fingernails down before, which helped stop the picking, but it frustrated me because I COULDN'T pick. I don't use tweezers or anything like that. I actually don't find enjoyment doing it that way. I too have done this since I was young. I believe I started when I was 13, which is around the time I had the "middle child syndrome" thing going on. I absolutely cannot stand it anymore. It completely controls my life. This is going to sound a little odd, but I compare this to being a heroin addict. Heroin addicts absolutely cannot stop doing heroin because they are always looking for that high. Well, that is exactly what I do as far as picking goes. I've said to myself, "Okay. You can squeeze five and that is it." Well, five just isn't enough and then I find my arms to be in complete destruction, leaving me to wear a long sleeve shirt in the dead of summer.

Oh yes I definately do it for the satisfaction is gives me, I love it, oh god I feel like am a weirdo or sumit but I like the 1s that come out like a hard sausage kind of shape, the wattery 1s aint very good, I get excited about squeezing a new spot that has appeared, what about the 1s that are quite big and annoying and you aint getting anywhere with then suddenly it pops, am sure you do get a noise and its squirts out, a lot of the spots I get are created by me picking and looking for them

Shemac and Krista I am 35 years old and have picked for as long as I can remember... and I enjoy it. I find it relaxing and I get excited when I get a result... and then I hate myself afterwards because it looks so bad... but at the time I adore it. I dont know what the answer is. I want to stop but when I do it, it feels great
