What do you do with the scab?

I realize this is quite disgusting but I wanna know what is typically done with the scab after you pick it. I've had CSP since I was a kid and I've always done weird compulsive things with the scabs themselves after I pick. Can anyone relate to that?

This is embarrassing to admit but I usually smell the scab once I pick it off. I have no idea why I do it. It doesn't smell good or anything but it's just an innate course of action I assume when I do pick at my scabs. :|
