trying to quit? recheck makeup
Ironically, I was an Estee Lauder employee (i hid the picking well) What I think most people dont know is simply washing your face does not remove all make up, thus causing more breakouts. Think about it makeup is made for the purpose of staying on, the cosmetic companies pride themselves on long lasting, no smudging etc. You have to use makeup remover first then wash then moisturize. We are told that in training. Also they tell us there are many skin types oily dry etc. you must first evaluate what you are then match your moisturizer and facial cleanser accordingly. IE if you have Oily skin use an oil free products, Dry vs versa. DO NOT USE SOAP its too harsh. Also your skin sheds about every 28 days (most household dust is shed skin) so you do want to exfoliate. Thats just the skin care portion. Then comes the makeup. most people keep makeup way too long. makeup is a breeding ground of bacteria. Cosmetic companies have to sell it in reasonable sizes so you feel like your getting a value so just because it will last for years doesnt mean you should keep it that long. Every time you touch your face with that cosmetic brush it soaks up dirt and oil then you dip it in powder then you close your compact and store it in a unclimate controlled environment. Every time you touch foundation or anything you dip your finger in you transfer dirt oil bacteria into it, then you put it on your face which most likely has open wounds from picking. Believe me I am guilty of all this an I know better. I was taught how to care for my makeup. Im a hippocrite. Anyways hope this info helps someone who is trying to make the change. Im going to.
